Japanese Tile Sake Picher
Japanese Tile Sake Picher
This tableware series is made using traditional Japanese roof tile manufacturing techniques. The traditional design of the Sake Pitcher enriches your drinking experience. Perfect for family gatherings or with friends, it adds a Japanese ambiance.
Yasuda Tiles, with a history dating back to the late Edo period, are traditional Japanese tiles known for their exceptional quality. These tiles are crafted using the "reduction firing" method, which involves baking at temperatures above 1200 degrees Celsius, resulting in a product with low water absorption, excellent insulation, and cold resistance, making them particularly suited for cold climates.
The tableware named "TSUKI", meaning 'moon' in Japanese, derives its name from the distinctive iron-colored tiles known as 'Tetsuirogawara', with their unique color and wrinkled appearance reminiscent of the moon's surface. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by artisans and manufactured in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture.
Originating from the northernmost tile-producing region in Japan, these tiles are continually chosen for use in the snowy regions of northern Japan due to their superior quality and functionality. The unique textured surface of Yasuda Tiles provides excellent grip, making it easy to handle and preventing food from slipping, thus beautifully enhancing food presentation.
